Feb 05, 2016 · I use Exchange 2010 tracking log explorer and search for the emails and discovery the re-deliveries are being received, but treated as duplicate. I tried to delete the first email that was stripped by the WatchGuard, but another re-deliver still gets treated as a duplicate and will not appear in Exchange users mailbox.

Oct 07, 2014 · We recently faced an issue where our Exchange 2010 was receiving multiple copies of emails from various our mail servers over the internet, upon investigating we found that Exchange wasn’t sending the acknowledgement for the email received hence the source server considered it not delivered and retried delivery as per protocol.

Dec 09, 2015 · In Office 365, this Duplicate Message Detection feature is enabled by default. If you send the same email to the user, the message ID of this email will be different from the first email you have sent. Then about whether this feature can be disabled, I will still need to do some consult and research for the exact answer.
If you are receiving duplicates of only some of your mail, the cause may be technical difficulty along the delivery path. Either a network connection is having problems, or one of the computers along the route is very slow or having other system problems.
