It doesn't hurt. After a little push, it just slides out. Honestly, I still remember how it felt and was one of the best parts of my birth. I felt more relief after pushing out the placenta than the baby. So weird. Strangely, I'm looking forward to pushing out the placenta this time.I felt so great immediately afterwards.

Apr 02, 2009 · The placenta is a little bigger than the size of a fist and you most likely will not feel it come out. It normally comes out within a minute or two of giving birth and if you do feel anything it will most likely just be a mild discomfort compared to pushing out the baby.

Placenta delivery didn't hurt it was really slippery and disgusting feeling but didn't hurt. I didn't push it out till about 15 mins after I had baby (1 good push was all it took) she was already on my chest so I was pretty relaxed and occupied and kind of forgot that I still had to push out the afterbirth.
