The reason the delivery fee is there is because domino’s wants to raise the price of their pizza without actually doing that. It’s a marketing tactic. Instead of charging 15 dollars per pizza they will charge 12 and add a 3 dollar “delivery fee”. When looking at pizza prices try not to focus so much on that delivery fee.

May 07, 2008 · The Domino's in my area has a $1.50 Delivery Charge. In fact, all the Pizza places have a Delivery charge in my area. Donato's charge is $1.75. I was told the Delivery Person does not receive the full amount of the Delivery Charge, but it is pro-rated based on mileage and they receive reimbursement at the end of the shift.

A company will pay the driver $4 an hour, have a $2.50 delivery charge, not give the fee to the driver, and expect tips to make up the difference.
