May 31, 2011 · If delivery men are careful with both the merchandise that they are delivering and the walls in my house, and if they are respectful, my general rule of thumb is to tip them anywhere from $10-$20 each. If the merchandise is very heavy, then $20 each is my usual tip. If the merchandise is fairly light, then only $10 each.
