Apr 07, 2020 · The store we purchase from (Nebraska Furniture Mart) farms out their delivery services so the delivery fee does indeed go to the delivery guys. It was explained to us when we had to refuse a couch delivery (couldn't get it in the door). NFM even has a FAQ on their website about not tipping.

Unless the delivery site (usually any food delivery) specifically states that the delivery fee isn't used as tip, in that case I do tip. I just figure that they weren't working for tips- they do get a paid wage, and tip is just extra. And in all honesty, I usually forget anyway.

If the merchandise is very heavy, then $20 each is my usual tip. If the merchandise is fairly light, then only $10 each.
