Does anybody know if it is possible to turn off the sending of non delivery reports for non existant recipients in exchange 2007. Because of the amount of spam sent to our domain the out queue is constanly full of NDR's waiting to be sent.

How can I have non-delivery reports (NDRs) sent for unknown users? POPcon itself can't send out NDRs but Exchange can. To enable those please switch off the "reroute email for unknown recipients" feature in the POP3 details of the individual accounts in the POPcon configuration and switch off the recipient filtering in Exchange.

Apr 16, 2010 · Andy you mentioned some include original and some do not, does this also equate back to NDR's generated by attachments. What I still can't crystallize is , is it a default behavior why Exchange decided to return NDR with attachment and some without it.Both the NDR's that I have received are generated by my exchange server.

Sep 26, 2016 · I’ve sent out some really important emails and for these emails not only did I request Read Receipts, I also requested Delivery Receipts. I do this because Read Receipts aren’t sent until the recipient actually reads the message and even then, these Read Receipts can be cancelled by the recipient or can otherwise get “lost” as well.
