Jan 27, 2010 · You definitely need a robe. Not for the actual delivery, but afterwards when you are on the postnatal ward and your walking around ie to the bathroom/toilet you need to cover your back because the grown given leave a gap. You don't want to expose your self.

If you think it will improve your delivery experience, then you should buy it. Personally, I would save my money and put it towards a nice pair of nursing pj's or a robe. My gown was half off during the majority of my delivery and was soaked in sweat and other body fluids by the time I was done.
