Mar 28, 2015 · Yes, a large "delivery box" is a great idea. The drivers will like it because they won't have to mess with the gate and worry about whether or not they may let animals out if the gate opens and they happen to be in the yard. Another option is to give the drivers a "gate code.".

Apr 10, 2012 · Best Answer: Police, Fire, Paramedics, garbage men, newspaper delivery, plumbers, mail men, UPS drivers, Fed Ex drivers, Milk trucks and pizza delivery boys typically have unlimited access to gated communities and all have their own codes. The dispatcher could tell the officer the police code.

May 15, 2008 · Normally, you would provide an intercom system at the gate that would give arriving visitors, including delivery drivers, a means to contact someone when they arrive. You could try including a gate code on your shipping instructions, but don't be surprised if you miss some deliveries.

May 25, 2013 · Each regular driver has the code to my gate and that works out well. I can't see them up at the gate if for some reason the gate doesn't grant entry, but on the rare occasion when there has been a problem, they just leave me a note and I leave the gate open the next day for them to try again.
