I waited around, and at 6pm got a text message from Argos telling me my order has been dispatched and will be delivered between 7pm and 8pm. I waited around some more and then got another text saying my delivery will be between 7:51pm and 8:51pm. About 30 minutes later I got another message telling me my delivery will not arrive today.

Jan 26, 2007 · delivery of small items (normally anything under 25kg, which can be safely lifted by one person - ie bedside chests), is not actually delivered by argos direct, but by an external logistics company. with such items, you will not get a phone call before delivery. time slot for such items is quoted as being any time between 7am-6pm.

True, but the Argos site doesn't exactly proclaim it with flashing lights. Now that I know of its existence I've just been checking the site and it's buried in the middle of the reserve by text section of the Check & Reserve info page in customer services - and it isn't mentioned at all in the order online section.

Due for delivery on Sunday 29th March, no delivery, no update, no way of contacting Argos. I appreciate we are all struggling with the current situation but don’t offer a date if you can’t deliver and at least if there’s an issue let me know. Asking me to review a product I haven’t received is the final insult4.5/5
