However, Recorded delivery only provides proof of postage - not proof of receiving it - because no one needs to sign for the item. Jun 01, 2007 · Registered post was similar to Recorded Delivery except it was insured as well as tracked by signature etc. As far as I am aware, you are correct that registered post no longer exists. Special delivery options that include sufficient insurance to cover the cost of the item should be the equivalent of the old "registered" post.

Mar 30, 2008 · Special Delivery is a guaranteed service, there are options, but basically you can have a pre 9am or pre 1pm service. The item will be signed for as above. In my own experience, Recorded delivery to large institutions, like banks etc, is wasted money.
