Mar 17, 2018 · Dell produces your machine on demand (in Asia of course) and then has to ship it (either by plane or boat - by boat takes weeks, plane is ca 1 week). In my experience their estimated delivery dates are correct (as in on or before).

It has been sat in the harbour at Portsmouth or Southampton since 17 Feb (I live in the Channel Islands). 15 Feb was my estimated delivery date. Dell tell me it'll be with me by Thu or Fri this week - but I think that's because I told them I will cancel if it is not with me by the end of Friday.

Jul 20, 2009 · Dell's delivery date is pretty much right on. You could contact Dell and see if they could get it to you faster but it might cost you more. You could also have them ship it later so you would be home from your trip. Or once you have a tracking number you could contact the shipper and let them know to leave the computer with a neighbor.
