The text of your log files says "No route to host" -- this could be because your ISP is blocking outgoing smtp traffic, but is not the only reason. (For example, if your linux box has a static route that is no longer valid, you'd get something like the results you are seeing.)

Most likely they are wrong email addresses or your DNS resolution is failing. Postfix will try to connect to the SMTP server according to the MX record of the ab.xyz.com domain to deliver the email, but if Postfix cannot find a MX record, it will attempt to deliver to the IP of the A record.

Mar 26, 2008 · What I found was, in Delivery queue "Delivery temporarily suspended: connect to 10.100.x.x" , so it doesnt deliver messages to my Local Exchange Server. If I stop and start the MTA service , it delivers, but again after sometime, the same issue , queue will start to build up..

Jul 02, 2008 · Hi folks, I haven't changed the config of my mail system for quite some time now, and all of a sudden my mail is not getting through. The hosts file is correct, and I've tried requeing (below), but this doesn't seem to help as the mail just gets stuck on the next pass, and I'm not sure what to try next, does anyone have any bright ideas, please?
