In Outlook, you have the option to receive a delivery receipt confirming the email was delivered to the recipient’s mail server. To turn the Delivery Status Notification (or DSN) on or off you will need to go to File > Options > Select the ‘Mail’ tab and then scroll down to the ‘Tracking’ header.

I can't just ignore this since everyone is receiving the "delivery has failed" automated response whenever they send me an email, and they think that the true email no longer exists.
