Jun 17, 2013 · If you right click it and go to properties, and then the Delivery tab, that's the settings. Click on the ? in the upper right and click on one of the fields and it will give you the range of values that you can set. It is not possible to deactive the retry attempts as far as I know.

Most like the mail server admin has set a limit to the number of time the system will retry to send the message if the destination is unreachable. all you can do is try again at a later time or verify that the email address you are trying to send to is indeed valid.

If they do, then your host is most likely proxying the requests before sending them to you and not correctly restoring the IP.
