While insurance, stamp duty and tax are all pretty familiar terms, the "dealer delivery" charge is a little more nebulous, and is often referred to as a car wash and some floor mats, for a few grand. Jul 31, 2008 · Since this thread is about dealer delivery fee and not government imposed on road costs, I have restricted my comments pertaining to the topic, namely dealer delivery fee. Again, I contend that if a car is $45K then that should be the total recommended price charged by the manufacturer and should not have a delivery fee attached by a dealer.
