HI I am currently working on Full Time CPT and in February 2016 I mistakenly worked for 47 hours for only 1 week. I checked with my DSO if full time CPT allows you to work more than 40 hours and they said it is not allowed and if I did work it is illegal and I have violated the Law.

F-1 international students are not permitted to work more than 40 hours per week. This means that graduate students with an Assistantship will not be approved for full-time CPT.
