The guidelines for fulfilling your requirements for the Cornell Tradition are: Complete a total of 325 hours of work and service during the academic year. Cornell Tradition suggests completing 125 hours of paid work the semester you are on campus although your internship may count toward your work requirement. 75 of the 325 hours must be service hours. The remaining 125 hours may be either work or service.

Each year, fellows are required to complete 100 hours of community service/volunteering, 100 hours of paid work, and 50 flex hours of either paid work or volunteering.
