Coloma is an easy drive from Sacramento, about 45 mins. California State Parks really out did themselves. There were games for the kids, restorations, tent encampment, demonstrations, and fascinating docents with lots of history to share. This event occurs the second weekend in October. Plan to spend at least 3 hours, you will enjoy it.
