Continuing Education. The College has, as one of its objects under the Health Professions Act, an obligation to establish a continuing education program. Dental Technicians must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of continuing education in each three-year cycle. At least 24 credits must be technical - that is, directly related to the scope of practice.

The renewal deadline is the last day of February each year and registrants who do not renew by that date will be charged a late fee. If renewal applications and payment of outstanding fees are not received by March 31st, your name will be removed from the Register, and you will not be legally permitted to practice dental technology in BC.
