It’s been several years since I did the training but to get a CNA license I need 100 hours of clinical experience which spread out over three months I would say to get your nursing license you need CNA experience I would say the same requirements for the CNA 100 at least 100 hours of clinical good luck take care and stay safe.

Share. Posted July 7, 2011. I've got about 600 hours HCE as a CNA, 500 hours volunteer caregiving for a person who was paralyzed (one of my LoRs too), and 85 hours shadowing. I'm hoping this will satisfy some of the academic-heavy schools that don't require HCE, but state that competitive applicants have it.
