CMoR Short Pump has moved to the mall, and the location is even smaller than it was before. This is a play place for young toddlers. I understand the value of play but do not understand how anyone in good conscience can call CMoR a museum.

Legendary Santa. As Richmond legends since 1936, Legendary Santa and the lovely Snow Queen have been delighting families for 85 years. It all started on the 7 th floor of the historic Miller & Rhoads department store and now 25,000 children and families head to the Children’s Museum to continue, or start, their family tradition.

CMoR Short Pump has moved to the mall, and the location is even smaller than it was before. This is a play place for young toddlers. I understand the value of play but do not understand how anyone in good conscience can call CMoR a museum. I would not pay entrance for my four-year-old; it wouldn't be worth the $9.

Other changes at CMoR-Short Pump, located at 2200 Old Brick Road, include its hours. The doors open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. all year, as opposed to the central museum's shorter hours during the school year.

I have no doubt that the new Short Pump branch will rank right up there, too. Judging from this face, I’d say JR agrees, busted lip and all: The Children’s Museum – Short Pump (located at 2200 Old Brick Road) opens to the public this Saturday, June 5 from 10am to 4pm.
