Room-size boulders scattered about the area create a unique setting for the exhibit buildings, picnic facilities, and the self-guided Rock Walk Nature Trail. The quarry is open March 25 - October 31. I called and I was informed that due to lack of funding...the Quarry is only open Friday and Saturday from 10a-5p. So make sure you call ahead before you make the trip out. We are bummed that our schedule doesn't allow us to come back.

Driving through town, saw the sign advertising the dinosaur quarry and decided to go look. After driving 14-15 miles on a dusty gravel road, we got within a few miles of the quarry and they have an old beat up sign saying the hours of operation were Thursday, Friday, Saturday and I think Sunday.
