Dec 12, 2011 · There is a drawing of the deck landing DC-9 (called the C-9 COD) in "Great Airliners" volume 4, the DC-9. The nose wheel would have been moved back 12 feet and could be extended 2 feet for catapult takeoffs. They looked at both non-folding wings and wings that would fold between the ailerons and flaps.
