Jan 06, 2009 · You will be fine as long as you aren't washing dishes in it while it is on its side! LOL!! A fridge is OK to do this with also, but as William said, you need to have it upright for 24 hours to allow the compressor oil to settle back into the compressor, or else you can destroy the compressor.
