Currently, I am using Camel as an orchestration engine (it receives a HTTP POST request which results into the Camel code sending HTTP POST/PUT/GET requests to some external servers, until at the end Camel sends (hopefully) a 200 OK back to the initiator of the 1st HTTP POST request).

Feb 21, 2018 · Hi, I hope to consolidate the discussion to a single thread by replying to the subject, my last post to the original subject is separately shown from your answers on nabble forum. I tried to rectify things by removing all version references from camel dependencies in pom.xml, relying on a managed version, which is 2.18.1.redhat-000021 in my case, but that didn't change anything.

I have a Camel Route with the onException clause: at each redelivery I want to increase the redeliveryDelay. How do I get the attemptNumber? By default Apache Camel will perform any redelivery (retry) attempts from the point of failure. So if you want to retry from a point before this, you would need to split up your route. In the example above we have 2 routes (direct:start, direct:sub).
