This park was decent. We didn't get to explore enough to see if it was good or bad, that's why I gave the 3 rating. There was a sign noting that they have black bear in the park. There is also a shooting range inside the park. It didn't appear to be real big. One road in the park went over water, and it appeared there had been some flooding.

Sep 12, 2012 · If you live in the Springfield Missouri area or are visiting Branson and the Ozarks, Busiek State Forest and Wildlife Area (it’s not a state park) is a must visit place for a day hike, mountain biking or riding. Busiek is also a great place to train for a backpacking trip. The varying terrain conditions and proximity to Springfield make it the perfect place to get a quick training session in with a weighted pack when you might only have a few hours to spare. The state park also has the benefit of being a great place to go at anytime of the year.
