It is a brand new fibre cabinet on a new build estate. Most of the time I got speeds of 67.5mb, however I noticed starting from 17:30 it started to drop and the ping and jitter would increase. Between 8 and 9 these speeds would be as low as 5mb. The speeds return to normal at approximately 11pm.

BT SmartTalk is a mobile app that automatically connects via wi-fi to allow customers to make calls, change settings or for accessing help on their mobile. The BT SmartTalk traffic is prioritised in the customer's part of the network over the customer's other traffic. It isn't prioritised over other BT Consumer broadband customer's traffic.

Few hours later same day got email saying order completed. (activated early?). Glasnost still reported shaping on port 6881. bt com still reported me on the old package. Yesterday signed up to bt cloud to do test and got 50 gig space, but was then told by someone on bt's forums everyone gets 50 gig cloud even when not recontracting.

Personally, i've been on BT Infinity for about 6 months and never experienced any throttling / traffic shaping. My average is running at something over 450GB/month, so i'd be as likely a candidate as anyone. I was previously with Be and they were the same (with the exception of their well-known iplayer issues).
