I've been to the Bronx Zoo probably over 50 times. I used to live on Long Island, then Westchester, and even though I now live over 3 hours away, I have a zoo membership, and go about twice a year. I've also been to over 20 zoos/animal attractions in the east, and this is my favorite. Here are my tips: 1. Go early!

The Bronx Zoo is free general admission every Wednesday. My niece went online and secured four tickets. She upgraded each ticket $14.95 which allows entrance to the star attractions like the tram, the monorail, the Bug carousel, and children's zoo.
