The grounds used to be an equestrian center. The architecture of the winery reminds me of an old Californian mission. There are plenty of places to relax and enjoy the views with a good sampling of Bridlewood wine. Although Bridlewood can get a bit crowded with wine tour visitors, it's definitely worth a visit while in Santa Ynez.

The wine I tried was all good but their bottles are sometimes rather expensive. My favorite of the wines was the 2003 Bridlewood Winery Syrah Blue Roan. It has a mild aroma that was somewhat flowery. It has a slight taste of blueberry as it hits the back of the tongue. Overall it was a nice trip and nice people in the Tasting Room.
