However, Brevard Zoo is a quiet, natural habitat-type of zoo that is calming for visitors and the animals. We we able to feed parrots and deer and kayak only a few feet from giraffes and lemurs. It is an inexpensive, unique way to spend a day or an afternoon. If you go and are able, definitely go on the kayaks.

This is outside of Brevard Zoo and maintained by the County and the Zoo. It is 1.1 miles from the beginning of the path to the end. Roundtrip is 2.2 in case you are bad at math. An extension is underway so this path will be a lot longer soon. I always see a variety of wildlife, you just have to look - from wildflowers to mammals.

I also recommend the morning to visit. 9:30 am opening with last admission at 4:15 pm with closing at 5:00 pm. If you arrive prior to opening I would suggest taking advantage of a nice boardwalk path outside the zoo.

Brevard Zoo. 16 hrs ·. We are so saddened to share that one of our cotton-top tamarin infants has passed away. This is a devastating loss for our Zoo, especially for our keepers. The remaining two infants appear healthy, and we will continue to monitor the family very closely and provide as much assistance as we can, if needed.
