So as Tim was explaining to me, his goal to be a commercial pilot requires he get at least 1500 flight hours in, and his piloting me across the Chesapeake counted towards that 1500 hours (he's also a flight instructor for Brett). That 30 minute flight also counted towards a license for me if I were so inclined.
