Other than these three problems, Boyce Park is an inexpensive place for ski, snowboarding and snow tubing place. I paid 20 for rental, 12 for snow tubing and 10 for one hour ski lesson. It is just 20 minutes drive from Pittsburgh downtown. Great for kids, beginners and even experienced skiers.

Tubing at Boyce Park follows a fairly standard program. The park offers tickets for set two-hour sessions scheduled throughout the day with 30 minute breaks. A ticket will get you all access to the tubing slopes during one session and generally amounts to about 15-20 rides down the slopes depending on crowd size and how fast you are.

Seven Springs was a little too far for us to drive so we opted for Boyce Park. It's about 13 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh. It was a warm and sunny day (60 degrees!), and it couldn't have been more perfect. The snow machines were on full blast and our family of 4 enjoyed two hours of snow tubing for about $60.
