Frog Pond is a small lake area in warmer weather and is located within Boston Common at one end (beside the Cheers Pub of former TV fame). In December Boston can be cold , so Frog Pond is then a skating arena, ice hockey is very popular in Boston and to see the ability of the kids on the ice with no fear is wonderful.

One of my favorite things to do in Boston when it drops below 32*F is to go skating on the frozen pond in Boston Public Garden (across the street from the Frog Pond which is in Boston Common). If you don’t have your own skates, you can rent them for the day for $25 @ Beacon Hill Skate Shop.
