Founded in 1870, Bohndell Sails started as a rigging shop in Thomaston, Maine. Not long after, the Bohndell family moved operations up the coast to Rockport, Maine and added sailmaking services. Our current location was built by business owners Bob & Sue Chace in 1994 where we continue to serve the sailors of Penobscot Bay and beyond.
