Drop off service is availible, usually about $20 for a large hamper full. Always done by the end of the day and folded! Super hot and cheap dryers. Usually don't need much mire than a dollar a load to dry. 1.75 for washers, the owners are always there and are the nicest people ever.

Bluenose Laundromat. photo Julé Malet-Veale. Editor's note: With its latest Best Laundromat win in 2008, the Bluenose was elevated to the Best of Halifax Hall of Fame. The place hums in that comforting way laundromats do. Thirty washers and 15 front-loading dryers fill the room, sometimes all working at once.

It's open 24 hours a day and the restaurant next door is open 24 hours too so you can feel like at home! Wash and eat This places changes dollars into quarters which I prefer over the card system because I never get my refund.
