La Biznaga was an unexpected and wonderful find on our last night in Oaxaca. We had an early start to the airport the following morning and decided to look for something closer to our place, which was about a 10 minute walk north of Templo de Santo Domingo de Guzman. La Biznaga was just two blocks away.

There will eventually be table service (and a Biznaga type bar) in more of the interior rooms as the pandemic lightens, but right now it's quite pleasant and safer to eat outside, looking into the Institute's vast green space. I don't understand the other reviewers complaints about drinks. I was a little tipsy after one margarita . The soup was great. Another nights I had a huge salad which hit the spot.

Fantastic food and environment -perfect for groups of 4-8. Both locals and tourists visit this hip spot with plenty of delicious options. Quite affordable for Oaxaca. The comida corrida is expensive ($110) but well worth it: very tasty, and it comes with delicious bread, a glass of mezcal, and espresso coffee!
