11 reviews of Belcarra Park "Great Metro Vancouver Park in the Coquitlam area that has a little bit of everything. You can swim, fish, picnic, bike, and horse back ride all in the same area which offers a lot of diversity. Lots of picnic tables with flushable toilets, running water, and a covered area to picnic in. Awesome alternative to Stanley Park if you want something away from the big city,"

Belcarra Regional Park is located northwest of Port Moody and about an hour from downtown Vancouver. It’s home to forests, hiking trails and Sasamat Lake.. In the fall of 2021 the park was renamed təmtəmíxʷtən/Belcarra Regional Park. “təmtəmíxʷtən” in the Indigenous language of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation means “the biggest place for all the people”.

Two hours of hiking and half an hour for lunch. Distance, 5.5K. View fullsize. A flat section of the Jug Island Beach Trail. View Point. Belcarra Regional Park is a popular getaway for people living in nearby Port Moody, Coquitlam and of course Vancouver. It was more crowded than we had anticipated for a November day.
