We are limited to the number of people on the boardwalk at one time. There are two sessions per day available to register for: 9a.m.-12p.m. and 1p.m. - 4:00p.m. Register. Add to your calendar. The boardwalk at Beidler Forest is open to visitors with reduced days and hours as we monitor the spread of Covid-19.

Beidler Forest is a protected swamp forest owned by the National Audubon Society, and one of only two virgin swamp forest lands still existing in SC. Despite being located only a few miles from I-26, it has a wilderness quality to it that I've found in only a very few places in the Southeast.

Dear Beidler Forest Audubon Center and Audubon South Carolina supporters: Beidler's boardwalk is OPEN! Pre-registration is required and our hours of operation have changed. Beginning March 18th, the boardwalk at Beidler will be open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays to visitors who pre-register. Two sessions will be offered: morning (9am-12pm) and afternoon (1pm-4pm).

This 2+ mile trail is open every day from dawn to dusk. Parking is located in a gravel lot adjacent to the entrance driveway for the visitor center.
