There are no hard and fast rules here. Being a former meat cutter of 20+ years I can only give my opinion. I would not let it out more than 24 hours. I have vacuum packed individual rib eye steak's and taken them backpacking with no refrigeration for 36 hours, but I just wouldn't feel comfortable going longer than that.
