A lot can change over two hours and I wouldn't personally feel comfortable listening to baby cry for that long. If your baby is crying for that length of time, chances are they really need something. If they didn't need anything I would think they would eventually pass out from exhaustion from so much crying, which isn't any way I would want my child to fall asleep.
