May 14, 2002 · Nursing for 2 hours could be a latch problem. Have you met up with a lc? My lo had latch problem that was due to tongue and lip tie. Our nursing session seemed never ending too. A good way to see if the latch is good is if most of the bottom of the areola is covered by their mouth. There is a little bit of areola showing above the top lip.

I wouldn't try to go longer between feeds yet, you have a growth spurt coming your way when baby will be feeding all the time, day and night. Just remember to trust your body and trust your baby.
