Sep 26, 2016 · I’ve sent out some really important emails and for these emails not only did I request Read Receipts, I also requested Delivery Receipts. I do this because Read Receipts aren’t sent until the recipient actually reads the message and even then, these Read Receipts can be cancelled by the recipient or can otherwise get “lost” as well.

Jul 27, 2014 · You may receive a message similar to this when the server doesn't generate a return receipt: Delivery to these recipients or groups is complete, but no delivery notification was sent by the destination server, but that is the best you'll do. If you need to know they received the message, email is probably not the best way to communicate.
