If a new email message is received, it is sent to the BlackBerry and the BlackBerry Infrastructure will check for new email again in 3 minutes. If no email is found, the BlackBerry Infrastructure will wait 15 minutes to check again.

O ne thing that I noticed after setting up all my email accounts on Blackberry was the hotmail email was landing real slow on the Blackberry device. It used to come almost after 10-15 minutes, much like my corporate email that I configured using Outlook Web Access (OWA). On other accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo or yahoo, the mail delivery was almost instantaneous.

The Z10 owners are all experiencing the same issue, this is the delay of emails being received by the phone on our activesync work accounts. For example, I can get an email on my desktop but it can sometimes be up to 1 hour before I get it on my phone, but when I do receive it on my phone it shows the same delivery time as the email on the desktop.
