May 31, 2015 · In many areas you don't even get the update to showing delivery- it just sits at 'progressing through system'. I use it only for the additional insurance , I do not use it with any hope that it will protect me from an INR.

Jan 03, 2013 · Recorded delivery (either 1st or 2nd class) don't get scanned until an attempt is made at delivery. They progress through the network along with normal 1st and 2nd class. Special Delivery items get tracked throughout the network.

Best Answer: Royal Mail's infrastructure is 'massive'...very impressive, the speed of their delivery is 'competitive' compared with other options, I rate them very highly...(I constantly monitor my packages and am always surprised by the quality of service and speed of delivery).
