Château d’Azay-le-Rideau – The River Indre and Gardens. The iconic effect of the Château’s exterior mirrored on water, seen in many photographs, was made possible in 1950 with the removal of a terrace in front of the Château and the slowing of the river by weirs. In summer, a Son et Lumiere is projected onto the castle walls every evening.
