Austin, TX. 15. 321. 5. 5/31/2008. The Veloway is one of the best reasons to live in Austin. This 3 mile bicycling and skating loop (no walking, jogging, motorized vehicles or pets) is nicely paved and wide, with a white line painted down the middle so that slower users can stay right, and faster users can pass.

My son will have logged approximately 85 hours of Veloway time by the time he’s born at the end of May. Many thanks to the city and the volunteers who keep this incredible space up and running, aiding the current crop of cyclists and building a future one. Veloway Rules. Only bikes and rollerblades allowed. One way, clockwise travel. Closes at dusk.

The Veloway is a paved cycling trail in south Austin that loops a little over 3 miles. We will decide as a group how many loops we want to do: 3 miles goes really quick on a bicycle!! Walkers, runners, hikers and motorized traffic are prohibited on the Veloway.
