Augustiner-Keller was probably my favorite beer, brewery and beer hall/biergarten experience while I was in Munich for Oktoberfest. The historic building is an amazing tour in of itself. The Augustiner Hell vom holzfass "from a wooden barrel" was the best beer I had in Germany.

We we twice. 1st time just to try Augustiner - we were working our way round the brewers. Had a stein in the garden and a pretzel, just the 1 between the 2 of us. The beer was great and the pretzel fresh and tasty. We came back for our last night in Munich as we a) loved Augustiner and b) wanted to have traditional Bavarian food.
