The Senso-ji Temple (of Taito, Japan) has two large entrance gates referred to as Kaminarimon (Thunder) gates. The first gate was built in the year 941. After it was destroyed by fire in 1865, it was replaced 95 years later, by the present gate. The temple complex and its pagodas are all spectacular and appear to be well-maintained.
