The Aquinnah Local Drop Off is open Sundays 10am - 4pm, Thursdays 8am - 2pm, and Saturdays 9am - 1pm (June 15th - October 19th 2019). The Aquinnah Wampanoag Indian Museum is housed in a historic Wampanoag family homestead and has been open to the public since 2006. The museum is operated by the Aquinnah Cultural Center, Inc., an independent non-profit organization whose mission is to “preserve, interpret and document the Aquinnah Wampanoag self-defined history, culture and contributions, past, present, and future.”

The Aquinnah Shop has been around for four generations. Our restaurant was founded in the mid 1940’s by Napoleon B. Madison, a member of the Wampanoag tribe and an esteemed medicine man & whaler. Napoleon passed the business on to his son Luther T. Madison and his wife Anne Vanderhoop.
