We visited the Tennessee Aquarium on August 5, 2004. We arrived at 5:45 pm, knowing that the doors close at 6:00 pm. They allowed us to stay in the Aquarium until 7:30 pm, and we virtually had the Aquarium to ourselves. It was wonderful, not having to fight the crowds! The exhibits themselves were very well done, especially the seahorse exhibit.

The whole visit here should take about two maybe three hours. There are two buildings at the aquarium one with saltwater fish and another that's focused more on fresh water animals and sea-life. The saltwater exhibits were by far my favorite and had more interactive displays for the kids.

COVID update: Tennessee Aquarium has updated their hours and services. 425 reviews of Tennessee Aquarium "This is a must see. I brought my family down on business during spring break. We spent an afternoon at the acquarium, and it ranks among the best we have visited (and we've visited several). The original section is freshwater, and extremely well done.
